TRANSFORMERS - robots in disguise

Went to catch Transformers today. Nice Show!
(though there are some portions of the movie a bit different from cartoon?)

The Autobots and Decepticons land on Earth via the Ark, paralleling the cartoon. The Autobots are reformatted by the Ark to resemble cars and trucks; the Decepticons take the form of jets, weapons or in the case of Soundwave, a cassette deck with tapes.

The Decepticons wreak havoc, steal energy and build a fortress. The Autobots, seen here as very weak underdogs, unsuited for war, fight valiantly to stop their foes.

Optimus Prime (Commander in Italy) is the leader of the Autobots, a faction of heroic robots from the planet Cybertron who wage their battles to destroy the evil forces of the Decepticons, for control of their homeworld, and by extension, peace in the universe. The immensely kind and compassionate Prime puts all his talent to use to improve the world around him, and has dedicated himself to the protection of all life, particularly the inhabitants of Earth; he will battle his foes with unyielding resolve to uphold this belief. In power and intelligence, Optimus Prime has no equal, known as one of the greatest heroes on both Cybertron and Earth.

Megatron is the leader of the villainous Decepticons. He is very powerful and utterly ruthless. His imposing robot form is dominated by his primary weapon - his arm-mounted fusion cannon, capable of leveling a city block in one blast. He can also sub-dimensionally link the cannon to a black hole, generating even more powerful antimatter blasts (capable of destroying a small planetary body). However, this ability is almost never used, as it leaves him extremely weak and vulnerable.

Ophthalmology

Poor nephew...So young gotta wear specs liao...But if can treat his squint & san-guang and yuan-shi of 400+ degrees, it's worthwhile. Doc says to let him wear in attempt to correct his eyesight and then squint.

Astigmatism: Impaired eyesight resulting usually from irregular conformation of the cornea; common in nearsighted people.

Squint: To be affected with strabismus; be cross-eyed.

Strabismus
- (squint-eyed) is a condition in which the eyes are not properly aligned with each other. It typically involves a lack of coordination between the extraocular muscles that prevents bringing the gaze of each eye to the same point in space and preventing proper binocular vision, which may adversely affect depth perception. Strabismus can be either a disorder of the brain coordinating the eyes or a disorder of one or more muscles, as in any process that causes a dysfunction of the usual direction and power of the muscle or muscles.

Treatment & Management
As with other binocular vision disorders, the primary therapeutic goal for those with strabismus is comfortable, single, clear, normal binocular vision at all distances and directions of gaze.

Whereas amblyopia, if minor and detected early, can often be corrected with use of an eyepatch on the dominant eye and/or vision therapy, the use of eyepatches is unlikely to change the angle of strabismus. Advanced strabismus is usually treated with a combination of eyeglasses or prisms, vision therapy, and surgery, depending on the underlying reason for the misalignment. Surgery attempts to align the eyes by shortening, lengthening, or changing the position of one or more of the extraocular eye muscles and is frequently the only way to achieve cosmetic improvement. Glasses affect the position by changing the person's reaction to focusing. Prisms change the way light, and therefore images, strike the eye, simulating a change in the eye position.

Early treatment of strabismus and/or amblyopia in infancy can reduce the chance of developing amblyopia and depth perception problems. Eyes that remain misaligned can still develop visual problems. Although not a cure for strabismus, prism lenses can also be used to provide some comfort for sufferers and to prevent double vision from occurring.

a NiGhT @ CaFe DeL MaR

Was supposed to catch Fantastic Four at LIDO (tickets compliments from **M to WW).
But little did we know that they are so "cat" to insist in having the registered SP to collect the tickets in person. PB is so angry that she decided not to go as she is the only one who had the "invites"; all the 3 of us are holding "fakes". So we ended up at Sentosa for dinner.

I have once again verified that my camera CMI at night.
Totally BLUR. ZZzzz...

Today, we celebrated KK's bday at the Zoo & Night Safari.
YES. The Zoo & The Night Safari

It's been a long long time since I have been to the Zoo
(Night Safari still not so long ago). Landed myself busy with taking pictures.

We "dua" KK to throw the frisbee for the seal to catch.

With the end of the show, we ended the excursion in the zoo as well.

Proceeded to the Bongos Burger at the Night Safari for dinner & birthday cake cutting & presents opening.

Night Safari too dark for my cam!
